Knight Frank Nigeria marks 60 years with golf tournament, grand gala celebration

Knight Frank Nigeria, a leading global real estate consultancy, recently commemorated its 60th anniversary with a series of exclusive events, including a golf tournament and a grand gala dinner, highlighting six decades of dedication, professionalism, and contribution to Nigeria’s real estate industry.

The anniversary celebrations began with a special golf tournament at the prestigious Ikoyi Golf Club 1938, where 60 golfers—made up of valued clients and close associates of the firm—competed in an atmosphere of camaraderie and celebration. Among the participants were Mr. William Beardmore-Gray, Global Chairman of Knight Frank; Mr. Frank Okosun, Senior Partner of Knight Frank Nigeria; and Mr. Siza Likando Masuku, Country Head of Knight Frank Zimbabwe, who all mingled and engaged with the brand’s supporters.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Frank Okosun emphasized the company’s foundational values: “Our business is built on trust, integrity, and professionalism. These principles have kept us going, and our focus now is to equip the younger generation to take leadership roles in this industry.”

Expressing his delight, Mr. Beardmore-Gray remarked, “Golf in Nigeria is far more vibrant than what we have in England. It’s wonderful to be here celebrating Knight Frank’s 60th anniversary. I’ve made great friendships today and hope to host some of these new friends for a game in England within the coming year.”

The celebrations peaked with an elegant gala dinner at the Lagos Continental Hotel, where the venue came alive with glitz and elegance. The event drew government officials, members of the diplomatic community, industry partners, and longtime friends of the brand, all gathered to honour Knight Frank Nigeria’s remarkable achievements over the past six decades.

In his address at the dinner, Mr. Okosun reflected on the firm’s journey: “With gratitude to God, we celebrate 60 years of unwavering commitment to trust, integrity, and professionalism. Together, we’ve shaped skylines and built thriving communities. This is just the beginning of a new chapter for us.”

He further reiterated the firm’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of industry leaders. “We’ve played our part, and now we’re preparing the younger ones to take over and build on this legacy.”

Mr. Okosun also expressed appreciation to the Nigerian government, international guests, and the company’s dedicated staff—past and present—highlighting that the milestone belonged to everyone who contributed to Knight Frank’s success. He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to helping bridge Nigeria’s housing deficit through strategic partnerships.

Goodwill messages were also shared by key partners, including Mrs. Funmi Omo, MD/CEO of Prudential Zenith Life Insurance, who praised the company’s resilience and leadership in the business world: “Sustaining a business in this volatile climate is no small feat. Knight Frank is setting a standard for future generations.”

Knight Frank’s operations in Nigeria began in 1965 from a modest office on Marina, Lagos. Over the decades, the firm has expanded across Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa, contributing to the global growth of the Knight Frank network, now spanning over 500 offices in 60 countries with 20,000 professionals.

The diamond jubilee celebrations not only highlighted Knight Frank Nigeria’s influence on the country’s real estate sector but also reinforced its commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainable partnerships in the years ahead.
