BUA Foods names Isyahu Rabiu chief officer for global procurement, strategic operations
The board of BUA Foods Plc has appointed Isyahu Abdulsamad “Khalifa” Rabiu as its Chief Officer in charge of Global Procurement and Strategic Operations, following what it described as a thorough review of his qualifications and leadership capabilities.
Rabiu is recognised for spearheading initiatives aimed at improving operational performance, strengthening supply chains, reducing costs, managing risks, and driving sustainable growth across large organisations. His experience cuts across multiple sectors, including food production, cement manufacturing, and animal feed operations.
Before this new role, he served as Director of Special Operations at BUA Group, where he played a key role in securing critical raw materials—particularly wheat—helping to stabilise supply channels for the company.
He also oversaw the development of a four-metric-tonne-per-hour animal feed mill and contributed significantly to the commercial revival of BUA Rice Mills, which led to the successful return of BUA rice products to the Nigeria market.
Rabiu earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Regent’s University London and a Master’s in Management from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
