Access Holdings Plc has announced a total dividend payout of N125 billion for the 2024 financial year, reflecting a dividend of N2.50 per share. The announcement came during the company’s Annual General Meeting held in Lagos on Thursday, where shareholders expressed satisfaction with the group’s financial performance and growth initiatives.
Chairman of Access Holdings, Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, highlighted the group’s robust financial health, pointing to the successful N315 billion raised via a rights issue as part of its broader capital-raising initiative. He noted that the capital injection has boosted shareholders’ equity to N3.76 trillion and positioned Access Bank as the first financial institution to meet the Central Bank of Nigeria’s new minimum capital requirement of N500 billion.
Aig-Imoukhuede reaffirmed the group’s focus on enhancing shareholder returns through strategic expansion, innovation, and operational efficiency.
In 2024, Access Holdings reported strong results across key financial indicators. Gross earnings surged by 88%, reaching N4.88 trillion—up from N2.59 trillion in 2023. Profit before tax also saw a significant rise, climbing to N867 billion compared to N729 billion recorded the previous year.
Acting Group Chief Executive Officer, Bolaji Agbede, elaborated on the group’s long-term strategy, emphasizing innovation, revenue diversification, and technology integration as key drivers of future growth. She added that Access Holdings remains well-positioned for continued success across its banking operations spanning four continents, alongside its non-banking business units.
