Spice 360 ushers in new era with appointment of Biodun Adefila

 

Spice 360 has restructured its leadership team with the appointment of Biodun Adefila as Managing Director and Rotimi Ade-Onojobi as Creative Director. The appointments, confirmed in a statement issued by the company’s Board of Directors, are effective immediately.

The agency described the move as a strategic step toward deepening its creative capacity and driving sustained business growth. The board emphasized that the appointments reflect Spice 360’s vision to stay ahead in a dynamic and competitive marketing environment by nurturing innovation and impactful storytelling.

Seasoned leader steps in as MD

Biodun Adefila joins Spice 360 with over 20 years of experience in advertising and brand management. Prior to this role, she served as Chief Operating Officer at SO&U Limited, where she played a pivotal role in managing major campaigns for prominent brands such as Guinness Nigeria, GTBank, Unilever, P&G, and Access Bank.

An alumna of the University of Liverpool (MBA) and Lagos Business School’s Advanced Management Programme, Adefila is a former board member of the Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN). Her industry recognitions include being named Marketing Edge’s Outstanding Advertising Personality of the Year in 2020 and one of Brand Communicator’s Top 50 Most Influential Women in Marketing Communications in 2023.

At Spice 360, she is tasked with overseeing strategy, operations, and client relations while steering the agency toward market leadership across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Creative director brings cross-platform firepower

Joining her in the leadership team is Rotimi Ade-Onojobi, a versatile creative professional with a strong background in brand storytelling and campaign development. With more than a decade of experience, he has led projects for brands like Heineken, Airtel, Nestlé, ABInBev, and Access Bank.

Before joining Spice 360, Ade-Onojobi was Head of Brand and Design at BOGO Beverages, where he contributed to the successful launch of Bottega Italian Sparkling Wine and BOGO Charger Energy Drink. His previous roles span respected firms such as Monument Distillers, Livespot Group, RedWolf (Ark Group), and DIJO Group, where he drove standout campaigns including Livespot X Festival with Cardi B and Hero Lager’s “Be the Hero.”

He holds a degree in Computer Science from Olabisi Onabanjo University and has received advanced creative training at Orange Academy. In his new role, Ade-Onojobi will be responsible for shaping Spice 360’s creative direction across all platforms—digital, traditional, and experiential.

Agency on the rise

Spice 360 has built a reputation as one of Nigeria’s top integrated marketing communications agencies. The firm serves clients like the Tolaram Group and was recently ranked the fourth most creative agency in the country at the Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival (LAIF).
