NIMN gears up for annual marketing conference
The National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN) is excited to announce its Annual Marketing Conference, the biggest marketing event in the country, scheduled to take place from June 20 to 22, 2024, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
This highly anticipated three-day event is expected to draw top industry professionals, academics, and students from across Nigeria. The conference, themed “Empowering Nigerian Brands: Leveraging Local Content for Global Success,” aims to foster discussions on the development of indigenous brands and the optimization of local talents for sustainable growth.
Mr. Idorenyen Enang, President and Chairman of the Council, highlighted the significance of this event. “The conference is meticulously curated to address the challenges brands face today. Our industry experts and seasoned professionals in marketing will provide invaluable insights,” he remarked. “We are focusing on how the Institute can support growth not just for the country but for SMEs as well.
“We have undergone sustainable business transformation through technology. Last year, we examined the role of ethics in business and nation-building. This year, we aim to empower Nigerian brands by leveraging local content for global success. A key factor here is local content and intellectual property. We will have distinguished intellectual property counsel as our keynote speaker and a strong panel of distinguished individuals who embody the Nigerian brand and eco-space.”
Mr. Enang further added, “We are introducing something unique this time—practical case studies. Companies will share their experiences of evolving from local brands to achieving global recognition and status. It promises to be a highly interactive and engaging conference.”
Milagrosa Nana Utomi, Chairman of Events and Conference, assured that the event would attract both national and international delegates from partnering institutions worldwide. The conference will feature insightful discourses with industry veterans who will provide guidance on leading sustainable growth on a global scale.
In addition to the discussions, the conference will also include an electoral process during the Annual General Meeting of the Institute. This will involve electing a new First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, and filling two Council seats.
The President encouraged members to take full advantage of the conference to gain essential knowledge and build networks that will enhance their businesses and improve their professional expertise.
