Starting October 1, 2024, Emirates will resume its daily flights between Lagos and Dubai, re-establishing a vital connection for travelers from Nigeria’s largest city. The airline will operate this route with a Boeing 777-300ER. Flight EK784 will depart Lagos at 17:30 and arrive in Dubai at 05:10, while the return flight, EK783, will leave Dubai at 09:45 and land in Lagos at 15:20.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, expressed enthusiasm about the resumption, stating, “We are excited to resume our services to Nigeria. The Lagos-Dubai route has always been popular with our customers in Nigeria, and we aim to reconnect leisure and business travelers to Dubai and beyond. We appreciate the Nigerian government’s support in re-establishing this route and look forward to welcoming passengers back onboard.”

With the resumption of Lagos flights, Emirates will now operate 157 weekly flights from Dubai to 19 destinations across Africa. Through codeshare and interline agreements with airlines such as South African Airways, Airlink, Royal Air Maroc, and Tunis Air, Emirates will extend its reach to an additional 130 regional destinations in Africa.

Nigeria, a key economic hub in Africa, maintains strong trade relations with the United Arab Emirates, with Lagos being the commercial capital. Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s cargo division, will bolster these trade connections by offering over 300 tonnes of belly-hold cargo capacity each week on the Lagos-Dubai route.

Emirates SkyCargo will support Nigerian businesses by exporting goods such as Kola Nuts, food and beverages, and urgent courier materials to major markets like the UAE, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Bahrain. Additionally, it will import essential items such as pharmaceuticals and electronics from key markets including the UAE, India, and Hong Kong, ensuring seamless and efficient trade.

The Boeing 777-300ER serving the Lagos route will feature 8 first-class suites, 42 business-class seats, and 304 economy-class seats.
