The SABC, South Africa’s public broadcaster, has partnered with The Loeries, Africa and the Middle East’s premier brand communications festival, in support of growing creative excellence in Film and the Radio & Audio categories.
The Loeries Film and the Radio & Audio categories attract a number of entries from around the region and the SABC will support the work being done by the Loeries to further enhance and bolster the creative product that is aimed at consumers.
“Creativity and advertising are two permanent features that are at the heart of the SABC and the SABC is extremely excited to revive our relationship with the Loeries through this partnership,” says Dichaba Phalatse, marketing manager, Video Entertainment SABC.
Africa and Middle East has a thriving Film and Radio & Audio industry and there will be a dedicated awards evening to recognise those who are creating the most innovative work in these categories. The Loeries Film & Radio Awards in partnership with SABC, to be held during Loeries Creative Week, promises a night of excitement where the work and people of the industry will be celebrated at a red-carpet event.

The 2023 edition of The Loeries will once again recognise brand communication that arises from innovative thinking with the goal of enhancing the consumer experience when they engage with brands and their advertising content.
Work that was commercially published, launched or aired to a substantial audience from 1 July 2022 to 30 June 2023 is eligible to enter if it was created within the Africa Middle East Region or exclusively for the region. The Loeries celebrates 45 years of rewarding creativity and Loeries Creative Week will be held in the City of Cape Town in October 2023.
