Entries for Cannes Lions 2022 now open

Entries for Cannes Lions for the year 2022 is now open. The entries officially opened on January 20th with the key submission dates and fee deadlines, as it’s returning to Cannes, France from 20 to 24 June 2022.

According to the organisers, the first late fee will commence after March 10, 2022, while the second late fee applies after March 24, 2022.

The third late fee is after April 7, 2022, and the final deadline is scheduled for April 14, 2022.

This year’s Cannes Lions has new and refreshed awards:

 

Creative B2B Lions

The Creative B2B Lions celebrate game-changing creativity and effectiveness in work for products and services that are purchased by professionals on behaviour of businesses.  Entries will need to demonstrate a blend of short-term tactics and long-term brand building strategies that connect with customers, improve brand health and ultimately drive growth.

 

Creative Commerce Lions

The Creative Commerce Lions evolved from the Creative eCommerce Lions, celebrate the innovative and creative approach to online and offline commerce, payment solutions and transactional journeys.  Entries will need to demonstrate how innovation and optimisation at any point of the end-to-end customer journey led to increased consumer engagement and commercial success.

 

Refresh to the Media Lions

The Media Lions have also been refreshed for 2022, to ensure the Award accurately reflects the current Media industry, and recognises the breadth of work that media agencies and specialists are engaging in.  The Media Lions description has been updated to ensure that the work being celebrated is specifically creative media ideas, the weightings of the judging criteria have been altered to place more of an emphasis on the media craft areas: Media Strategy & Targeting and Media Execution.

 

Cannes Lions is the International Festival of Creativity which has been championing creative excellence since 1954 with the goal of providing a global destination and the definitive benchmark for creativity that drives progress.
